Educational
School visits, curriculum support and storytelling for every generation.
Community-rooted
Built with and for British-Indian communities and the wider public.

All visuals shown are artist impressions of the proposed vision.
The Heritage Trail
A 4.5–5km loop trail woven through woodland and water, telling twelve enduring stories from Indian culture and Hindu philosophy — landscaped, interpreted and held within nature.
01The spiritual anchor of the trail — a sculpted peak rising above a quiet pool, where visitors first encounter stillness, devotion and the meditative presence of Lord Shiva.
02A sculptural landscape moment depicting Krishna raising Govardhan Hill to shelter his community — a story of protection, courage and devotion to the natural world.
03A pastoral landscape of groves, lotus water and quiet glades — celebrating Krishna's childhood, the harmony of village life and the deep bond between people and nature.
04A stepping-stone causeway across open water, telling the story of Lord Rama and the devoted vanara sena — courage, teamwork and the victory of dharma.
05A landscaped rise crowned with a sculptural moment of strength and selfless service — Hanuman ji bringing the healing mountain home through the British dusk.
06A contemplative pavilion for reading, listening and reflecting on the timeless dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna — a quiet space for wisdom and guidance.
07A lantern-lit gathering courtyard designed for the warmth, light and ritual of Diwali — community, celebration and the triumph of light over darkness.
08An interpretive village setting recalling the rhythm of rural life — courtyards, crafts, shared kitchens and the roots of family and home.
09Heritage agricultural elements telling the everyday story of soil, water and family — a grounded connection to land, labour and inheritance.
10A processional pathway and ceremonial pavilion celebrating one of life's great traditions — joy, music and the gathering of community.
11A processional route and gathering space for festival days — collective spirituality, movement and the shared joy of the chariot procession.
12The trail's quiet closing moment — a landscape held with dignity, where water, stone and seating offer space for remembrance and peace.
Each scene is a landscaped interpretation — a place to walk through, learn from and reflect upon.

Heritage & Education
At its heart, Shiv Gardens is an educational and intergenerational project — a living place to share British-Indian heritage with schools, families and the wider public.
Each scene along the trail is supported by interpretation, storytelling and curriculum-aligned learning, designed to bring culture, philosophy and history to life in a meaningful way.
School visits
Educational programmes for primary, secondary and SEN groups.
QR audio guides
Layered storytelling at every scene, in multiple languages.

Honouring tradition through accurate, sensitive design.

Built elements are kept low-impact and dispersed within the site, with quiet pathways and considered visitor flow designed to maintain a peaceful, restorative atmosphere.
Artist impressionFuture Vision
Shiv Gardens is envisioned to develop carefully over time. The heritage trail and landscape come first — with cultural, educational and retreat elements introduced thoughtfully in later phases.
Phase I
The 4.5–5km loop, woodland integration, lakes, interpretation and welcome.
Phase II
Pavilions for learning, ceremony and community gathering, set within the landscape.
Phase III
Considered retreat accommodation, expanded gardens and future cultural facilities.
